TRIPS 2010!
Trips! It is the time of the year for the annual surf trip to Wells Beach, Maine. Mark Friday, Saturday and Sunday September 17th, 18th, 19th, 2010 off on your calendar because were going surfing!!!!!!!
We are following the same format as last year:
For the cost of 140CAN$, you will have all of your surfing needs included:
- Rental of surf board and wetsuit for three days of surfing
- An introduction to surfing by Chris from Surf Montreal (if needed)
- Camping accommodations for Friday and Saturday night.
- 3 meals: a hot dog roast (hotdogs, beers, salad) and two breakfasts.
For those who have gear (wetsuit and Board), 50$ will get you camping and the meals.
You can rent a tent for 10$ for the two nights.
The minimum age is 21 for the trip.
I hope everyone has had an excellent summer. The time has finally arrived
for Surf Montreal’s annual trip to Wells Beach, Maine.
We always plan this whole thing on a shoe-string budget and we’re confident that short of sleeping on the streets and surfing on cardboard, you won’t be able to surf the ocean for cheaper.
Transportation (change from last year): We are going to be carpooling again this year but if you need a ride you will be placed on the waiting list until spots free up. If you need a ride your spot is not guaranteed so take your car, beg your driver friend to come, borrow your parents car… just don’t steal a car prior to coming it might make the boarder difficult.
We will be camping at the Ocean View Campground in Wells Beach. Wheels and Waves surf shop will be providing our equipment rentals. Aptly named, Ocean View is right next to the water and is providing a large private group site. Wheels and Waves Surf Shop will also have plenty of boards and gear available.
Can’t come for the whole trip but want to join up with us later on in the
day or have to leave earlier? We will give you all the directions and maps needed.
So bring your friends and come surfing in Maine. We welcome first-timers all the way to seasoned experts. There are plenty of further details (itinerary, wave condition details, etc) so let us know ASAP if you’re interested and we will send you the registration form. We’re looking to have a group of about 20 people so space is definitely limited!
