Surf Montreal is a surfing club/co-op owned and operated by surf enthusiasts. Our mission is to foster and cultivate surf culture in Montreal through the organization of events and trips. We will bring surfers together to share interests, resources and ultimately get together for some good times centred around surfing.

Wow!!! Today was the first SUP race in Quebec. We raced from Mont Saint Hilaire to St Marc, 13km (roughly 2 hours), head on into the wind and waves… apparently the river usually flows the other way and the wind is usually at your back… or so they say. Despite the headwinds everyone finished and it was amazing! The Richelieu river is not one that I have seen much of aside from the 1k at Chambly, but it is a great spot to SUP. My shoulders are a little sore and hands a little blistered but I must say that Long Distance SUP is awesome. Thanks to Sylvain for organizing the event, and Imagine for bringing the river running SUP’s. Had a great time!

Hello Surf Montreal!

Habitat is starting to get good! after a few weeks of a flat wave and terrible conditions the wave is walling up and even getting some white sections at times. You don’t need the scary rope to get onto the wave and can catch it swimming.

Surf Competition! The ‘Banana Sundae’ will be this Sunday the 15th registration starts at 8am. Come join us for the event cheer on your favorite surfers and watch the best of Montreal’s community do their thing!

Damn! If can ever do this I’ll confidently say I can surf pretty well.

Anyone looking for a Surf Party?  Come join EPIC boardshop and the Montreal surf community on Friday August 6th at 8:30pm at the Salon Officiel bar at 351 Roy est (1 block west of St Denis on Roy st) for the film Castles in the Sky.  Should be a great event, no cover and and a great film!
